Moving Content to Another Computer

These instructions will help you take content (designs, papers, embellishments and QuickMixes) you have purchased on the MemoryMixer store, from your old computer and copy it to your new one. Listed below are a few tips that will make it easier. The instructions are specific to your operating system so please be careful to only use the instructions for Apple on an Apple and PC for a PC.

Q: PC to Mac To copy items from one computer and put it into your new computer, you will go to your old computer and click on the "Start" button. Then go to "Computer", then "Local Drive C:", then "Program Files" (or Program Files x86 if you have this folder). Now you will find and click on "MemoryMixer" then "Components". Here you will copy your "Papers", "Embellishments" and "Themes" folders onto a flash or external drive. You will then take this to your new computer and go into your "Applications" folder, then "MemoryMixer" then "Components". Then you will put your drive in and open this window. Shrink them a little so that they will sit side by side. You will then open the "Backgrounds" folders on both the the screens, and then go into each folder and compare what you have on both sides. If you don't have one of the folders in your new computer, drag the entire folder over. If you do have the same folders on both sides, open each of these folders and drag over the items that you don't have. You can then go to your "Embellishments" and "Themes" folders and do the same there.
